Arimidex Tablets
Arimidex (pharmacological name – anastrozole) is a newer drug developed to treat breast cancer in women. It was invented by Zeneca Pharmaceuticals and was approved for use in December 1995 in the United States. Arimidex is the first in a new third-generation aromatase inhibitors class of select. Its action is blocking the aromatase enzyme, therefore blocking the production of estrogen. Since many forms of breast cancer are stimulated by estrogen, there is an assumption that by reducing the amount of estrogen, the progression of cancer can be stopped.
This is the main reason for using the drug instead of Nolvadex since the drug also blocks and the production of estrogen. The effects of Arimidex can be quite dramatic with a daily dose of 1 mg tablet the estrogen can be decreased in the body by more than 80%. With a powerful effect, postmenopausal women whose disease progressed after treatment with Nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate) can use this drug at a hormonal level. There is a possibility of the side effects and with no doubt be much more serious in premenopausal patients.
Arimidex for athletes using steroids has great benefits. Before Anastrozole such drugs as Nolvadex and Proviron were weapons to fight against estrogen excess. These drugs, especially in combination, are especially very effective. But Arimidex can act much more efficiently, and with fewer side effects. One daily tablet 1 mg, gives a very strong effect to users who need to achieve results (some even report excellent results with only 0.25 mg daily dosage).
When androgens such as Dianabol or Testosterone are used, Adex can effectively block gynecomastia and water retention. In combination with finasteride that blocks 5 alpha-reductase, side effects can be effectively minimized. Here, androgenic Testosterone could theoretically provide incredible muscle growth. Additionally, the quality of the gained muscles should be improved. The athlete’s muscles will seem harder and much more voluminous, without holding extra water.
There are some issues when using an aromatase inhibitor. While it effectively reduces estrogenic side effects, it also blocks the beneficial properties of estrogen (its positive effect on “good” cholesterol). Studies have clearly shown that when an aromatase inhibitor is used in conjunction with a steroid such as Testosterone, HDL suppression of “good” cholesterol becomes much more pronounced. Estrogen plays a role in reducing the negative effects of steroid use. Since the estrogen receptor antagonist, Nolvadex didn’t show the anti-estrogenic effect on cholesterol value, this is a certainly better choice for those who have cardiovascular health problems.
Arimidex has another disadvantage, its high price. The price per tablet can easily reach $ 10 each, becoming quite expensive for regular use. The price of a supporting drug can be much more than the steroids themselves, a situation intended not to please bodybuilders. But still, the use of Anastrozole can reflect the side effects of strong androgen therapy much better than Nolvadex or Proviron, making hardcore cycles much more convenient.
