Anastrozole and Bodybuilding – Avoid Gyno
Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor (anti-estrogen) medicine, produced in oral form with the active substance Anastrozole. It is also sold under the brand name Arimidex. In sports, it is used by athletes who are using steroids and are sensitive to the gyno. The main goal of the Anastrozole cycle is to prevent the development of gynecomastia caused by water retention in the body and a number of other side effects related to high estrogen conversion. Anastrozole has a very pronounced effect. One tablet with a concentration of active substance 1 mg is able to reduce estradiol by 80%. Even Tamoxifen does not have such a powerful effect. However, it is not correct to compare these two means, since the principle of their action is completely different. Also, it is much better during the cycle to use Arimidex rather than Nolvadex. With Tamoxifen you will get fewer results from your cycle.
Anastrozole Effects
- Significant reduction in the aromatization level (up to 80% of the initial level).
- Pronounced inhibitory effect.
- Block estrogen levels.
- Rapid level of action. The maximum concentration of the active substance in the blood reaches after 2 hours of intake that allows the user quickly to suppress the aromatization process.
- Very effective for athletes prone to aromatization.
Arimidex Cycle or how to take it
Many athletes prefer to take anti-estrogen or aromatase inhibitors to prevent the development of estrogen-type side effects. In order to do this, it is enough to take 0.5 mg every second or third day. If side effects have appeared, then the scheme will have to be changed:
- Switch to the daily use of anti-estrogen.
- The dosage should be increased to 1 mg daily.
As soon as the symptoms of negative effects are eliminated, go to the first scheme of Anastrozol intake. Due to its high strength, this drug is able to independently manage the tasks – there is no need to combine it with other medicine.
In order for the active substance rapidly to enter the bloodstream, it is recommended to take it on an empty stomach, with plentiful amounts of water.
Arimidex for female athletes. Taking the drug is prohibited for women. The changes that Anastrozol makes in the hormonal background are extremely undesirable for the female’s body.
Side Effects of Anastrozole
With individual intolerance to the active substance, as well as a significant excess of the recommended dosages, the following side effects from Anastrozole are possible:
- Drowsiness;
- polymorphic erythema;
- asthenia;
- various allergic reactions;
- headache;
- vomiting;
- nausea;
- diarrhea;
- skin rash.
People with cardiovascular system problems should not use Anastrozole. The drug effectively counteracts estrogenic side effects, but at the same time, it blocks the beneficial properties of estrogen (suppressing the production of “good” cholesterol), which can lead to heart problems. Athletes with CCC diseases need to consult a doctor or, in extreme cases, use Tamoxifen on the cycle.

Adrian Haymon –
I’m very gyno sensitive. So have to use Anastrozole. Don’t know if Anastrozol from Sterling Knight is good or no but so far didn’t had any gyno related issue with it.
